Burglarizing our culture and values with “Beauty Pageants”?

We feel pride about our nation’s achievements. Be it

in the field of nuclear energy, literature, culture, tradition or whatsoever - A different kind of achievementis to win “beauty pageants". How our tradition is burglarized via winning of beauty contests by Indian participants, is a matter of concern, which we ignored for years. We took it as ourachievement;blatantly ignoring the fact thatit is actually quite disastrous for our youth.

Was it really a matter of pride for us when we got to know that our Indian participants won the Miss Universe and Miss World titles respectivelyand became celebrities praise worthy overnight? Back then, we felt so, just because we were completely ignorant of the foreigners’ strategy to enter Indian markets.

Marketing or doing trans-border business is not a matter of worry, but when certain people with mala-fide intent trespass the limits of their morality, it becomes a matter of deep concerns. Launching new and big brand cosmetics in India and running successful business therein, was the motive behind deliberately making Indian contestants win these pageants. Through this policy, foreigner brands again got success in their endeavors to rule Indian minds after successfully introducing Macaulay system of education in our country over more than 150 years back, thus handicapping our system and paralyzing our thought process.

Our innocent unwary Indians could not understand this strategy of marketing and they took it as our country’s success instead, which later on turned out to be “venomous”. Our own society’s preferences changed and became more materialistic, less spiritual and defining criteria of beauty became skin deep.

Is a lady in revealing outfit more beautiful than a rural woman doing household chores or helping in agriculture and horticulture or an urban lady doing duties in offices, taking care of children? The worldof beauty pageants is the “world of fantasy”, which has no practical ground for others. This inspires otherinnocent adolescent girls to follow the footstepsof the models and Indian women that are projected as “beauty icons”, which in turn results in them falling prey to the sexual abuses by men who tempt them by promising to promote them in this world to spin money overnight.

With this slow poison spreading in our society’s youth, morality, ethics, values were almost lost in an unknown world and what was left in majority of our youth’sminds was - mere “superficial beauty”, encouraging them to behave like celebrities, dreaming to live with all the amenities they possess, become like them, walk like them, talk like them, drink like them, smoke like them, wear like them and this to-do list went “never-ending”. Our people’s originality all of a sudden almost disappeared withthem wanting to become someone else, who they are not.

This is a truly disgusting situation and if we do not recognize and curb this strategy whereby foreign brands are injectingtheir culture in our veins, we are bound to suffer.

In the meantime, our system had to introduce new provisions to make our laws more stringent. What happened as a result?False rape cases, fake sexual assaults cases were tremendously increased, innocent were trapped and guilty bullies were filtered from the legal sieve. Structure of society shook andgirls &ladies became more insecure than before. And now they are more prone to barbaric incidents like acid attack, molestation and sexual assault. Why so?  Every woman wishes a Mr. handsome in her life and every man wishes a Miss World/ Miss Universe in his life and if their such expectations aren’t met, they get disturbed, led by frustration which badly affects their matrimonial lives, thus resulting in increase in the number ofdisputes between spouses and the consequences reached to the increased number of divorce cases or frustrated couples.

Why am I discussing this matter and holding beauty pageants responsible for the same? Just because it changed our thought process and thereby increased the rate of offences, as a result of which sudden changes were made in certain provisions of laws that ended up being“misused” for our great saint Shri AsharamBapuji, who was inflicted in such a false case.

A saint whose devotees are exceeding number of 6 billion, is incarcerated for an allegation of “rape and sexual assault”,being leveled by a “minor” girl. Does it make any difference to us? Why do we worry about such things happening around us?

But we will have to change the criteria of our thoughts and move it to the right directions. Yes, I’ am talking about PujyaSant Shri AsharamBapuji and this matter is relevant as He guided His disciples to observe celibacy. “DivyaPrerna Prakash”, “YuvaDhanSuraksha” and other allied literature is what He requests His followers to read and imbibe in their lives, without demanding any fees or materialistic goods. And when India is about to rise as ‘Vishwa Guru’, He is ensnared into a frivolous, baseless case!

What is the connectivity of beauty pageants and this false case is to be understood as Bapuji guided His disciples to respect our own culture and tradition, accepting a person with originality without so many tantrums as shown in beauty contests. He always emphasizes on leading a simple life with high thinking and less show-offs.

Simplicity means “attack” on big brands’ marketing strategies and their failure to establish in Indian markets. Simplicity means providing daily-need products at reasonable prices by ashram thereby frustrating big brand markets.

Once AsharamBapuji is ensnared in a fake case, His products’ demands were also restricted initially resorting to legal provisions. Once such saint’s character is questioned, His preachings, products and all relevant things are questioned and doubted. These doubts and questions create chances for big brands to survive in Indian markets.

It is our duty to understand our moral responsibility and discard such superficial selections claiming a combination of “beauty & intellect”, which is totally illusive and not true;and introduce more contests to promote the students at the national or international educational forum and protect our ethics by adopting simplicity. And respecting our culture, which is not broken in by such beauty pageants.

DO NOT let others do injustice to our saints and society at any cost.

Created by bibhuti in 6/28/2014 2:04:09 PMThis information should be spread in our country. Each student should read this topic. How the foreign culture effect our People. But everybody in India face the consequence of the foreign culture but no body is telling this to other. In my opinion if people start telling about the bad effect of the foreign culture then our country will be number one in the world.

Position of women in indian Society
Created by Deepa Nagpal in 6/27/2014 12:24:14 AMIn India there is tradition of respecting women as Lord durgga .Sarswati or Lord Laxmi.Girls were given special places in the society but this foriegn culture have changed a lot. Now a girl which tries to follow indian culture becomes a matter of joke .This also have increased cases of female infanticide and sexual harrasment cases .Being a girl,it becomes difficult for us to even go out of home for school and college.Even there exist a fear between working women and it increases manifold in metropolian cities.
When a true saint like Asaramji stands against such things then this multinational companies plans a conspiracy against them. when we are going to awake. This is another planning to bring India under a foreign rule by capturing their mind. Please rise against this injustice...........Hari Om
